| Gene Description | VAMP2, vesicle associated membrane protein 2, encodes a member of the SNARE protein family that mediates fusion and exocytosis of synaptic vesicles at the plasma membrane and plays a role in cell adhesion, migration, and survival (PMID: 19822142, PMID: 32210233, PMID: 32848598). Increased expression of VAMP2 has been demonstrated in bladder cancer (PMID: 30672978) and a fusion of VAMP2 with NRG1 has been identified in lung cancer (PMID: 26134228). | ||||||||||
