| Gene Description | TPM1, tropomyosin 1, encodes a member of the tropomyosin family, that interacts with Troponin (PMID: 28161413), and regulates actomyosin function (PMID: 28101865), striated muscle function (PMID: 31270709), calcium dependent muscle contraction (PMID: 11136687), and cardiogenesis (PMID: 28359939). Decreased TPM1 expression has been observed in breast cancer (PMID: 13679858), human transitional cell carcinoma (PMID: 15095301), and a fusion with ALK has been identified in bladder cancer (PMID: 25204415). | ||||||||||
