| Gene Description | TRPS1, transcriptional repressor GATA binding 1, encodes a zinc-finger containing transcriptional factor that plays a role in transcriptional repression during development (PMID: 11285235), cell proliferation and differentiation (PMID: 17997399, PMID: 19820125, PMID: 31879358), and regulation of histone acetylation (PMID: 23892436, PMID: 29895970). TRPS1 mutations have been observed in subependymoma (PMID: 28528424), increased Trps1 expression has been observed in colon cancer (PMID: 23762846), gastric cancer (PMID: 33044891), hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 33015773), and breast cancer (PMID: 33011748), and a fusion with PLAG1 has been identified in myxoid leiomyosarcoma (PMID: 30489320) and chondroid syringoma (PMID: 32345665). | ||||||||||
