| Gene Description | VEGFA, vascular endothelial growth factor A, is a growth factor, which binds Vegf receptors to promote cell proliferation and angiogenesis (PMID: 23216836), mostly through KDR (VEGFR2) on endothelial cells (PMID: 32001672). Vegfa may stimulate tumor angiogenesis in several tumor types (PMID: 23216836, PMID: 32116289) and is overexpressed in a number of tumor types including, intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (PMID: 32042099), lung adenocarcinoma (PMID: 31892982), pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PMID: 31552188), and brain metastases in breast cancer (PMID: 31527824). | ||||||||||
