| Gene Description | BIRC7, baculoviral IAP repeat containing 7, is also known as livin and is a member of the inhibitors of apoptosis protein (IAPs) family that regulates apoptosis (PMID: 11084335) and activity of caspases (PMID: 28030838). Overexpression of Birc7 has been observed in melanoma (PMID: 11084335, PMID: 23070005) and papillary thyroid carcinoma (PMID: 32064154), and amplification and overexpression has been reported in prostate cancer (PMID: 30376767). | ||||||||||
