| Gene Description | RAB11FIP1, RAB11 family interacting protein 1, encodes for a member of the Rab family of proteins and has the ability to activate Ras, thereby potentially playing a role in cell differentiation and proliferation (PMID: 21143914), and along with binding partners, is also involved in cellular membrane trafficking (PMID: 15355514). Overexpression and amplification of RAB11FIP1 has been observed in breast cancer (PMID: 19620787) and elevated expression of Rab11fip1 has been associated with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, colon cancer, and non-small cell lung carcinoma (PMID: 30761451). | ||||||||||
