| Gene Description | CASP6, caspase 6, is a cysteine-aspartic acid protease that plays a key role in the process of programmed cell death (PMID: 28726391) and axon degeneration (PMID: 30940883). Overexpression and decreased Casp6 expression have been observed in a variety of tumor types (PMID: 28726391), including gastric cancer (PMID: 31611962), and CASP6 somatic mutations have been identified in gastric and colorectal cancer (PMID: 16948818). | ||||||||||
