| Gene Description | CASP7, caspase 7, is an apoptosis-related cysteine peptidase that plays a central role in the execution-phase of cell apoptosis (PMID: 23979156). Germline variants in CASP7 have been observed to modify risk in cervical cancer (PMID: 25784056), gastric adenocarcinoma (PMID: 24040159), and childhood leukemia (PMID: 22548721), and a FGFR2-CASP7 fusion has been identified in breast cancer (PMID: 23558953). | ||||||||||
