| Gene Description | IRS4, insulin receptor substrate 4, encodes a member of the IRS family of adapter proteins that mediates the activation of diverse signaling pathways (PMID: 19534786) including protein kinase B and Akt (PMID: 10594015), and plays a role in metabolism (PMID: 10077007), differentiation (PMID: 28821740), and transformation (PMID: 19029952). IRS4 mutations have been identified in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (PMID: 21517825), and increased Irs4 expression has been observed in colorectal cancer (PMID: 30410539), hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 16871543), and T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (PMID: 19055661). | ||||||||||
