| Gene Description | SLC4A4, solute carrier family 4 member 4, encodes a sodium-coupled bicarbonate transporter that regulates intracellular pH (PMID: 14722772, PMID: 23506864, PMID: 23917030), and plays a role in cell proliferation, migration, and invasion (PMID: 25612232, PMID: 34013380) and the immune response (PMID: 32949121, PMID: 36807529). SLC4A4 fusions (PMID: 29617662, PMID: 35247929, PMID: 37079858, PMID: 37463056) and increased Slc4a4 expression (PMID: 35305629, PMID: 36522548) have been identified in prostate and pancreatic cancers, and decreased Slc4a4 expression has been observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (PMID: 30668544) and colon adenocarcinoma (PMID: 32949121). | ||||||||||
