| Gene Description | FADD, Fas associated via death domain, is a cytoplasmic adaptor protein that associates with Fas and other death receptors and thus, plays a primary role in apoptotic signaling (PMID: 20576468, PMID: 32302548), and also functions in innate immunity and inflammation (PMID: 30401514). Decreased expression of FADD has been observed in acute myeloid leukemia (PMID: 15520222), but is overexpressed in other cancers (PMID: 31569512), and amplification of FADD has been observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 31569512). | ||||||||||
