| Gene Description | SKAP2, src kinase associated phosphoprotein 2, is an adaptor protein that regulates actin polymerization and integrin activation (PMID: 28183734, PMID: 23161539, PMID: 22976304) leading to rearrangement of the cytoskeleton (PMID: 22976304) and plays a role in cell migration and invasion (PMID: 23161539) and activation of the immune system (PMID: 16135797, PMID: 28183734). Increased Skap2 expression has been identified in non-small cell lung cancer (PMID: 25862907), SKAP2 amplification has been identified in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PMID: 17952125), and a SKAP2-BRAF fusion has been identified in melanoma (PMID: 34167970). | ||||||||||
