| Gene Description | COX7A2L, cytochrome c oxidase subunit 7A2 like, plays a role in the organization of the mitochondrial respiratory chain, which binds to complex III and complex IV, leading to assembly and stabilization of the III/IV supercomplex, and acts as a regulator of the biogenesis of complex III (PMID: 27545886, PMID: 30428348). A COX7A2L-ALK fusion has been identified in non-small cell lung cancer (PMID: 32903930) and overexpression of COX7A2L has been associated with breast cancer and endometrial cancer (PMID: 31511525). | ||||||||||
