| Gene Description | NAPRT, nicotinate phosphoribosyltransferase 1, is an enzyme catalyzing NAD synthesis from nicotinic acid, therefore regulating cellular oxidative stress (PMID: 17604275), and extracellular NAPRT1 may play a role in inflammation (PMID: 32266141). NAPRT1 is expressed in a wide variety of tumor cell lines (PMID: 26675378) and amplification and/or overexpression of NAPRT has been observed in prostate, ovarian, and pancreatic cancers (PMID: 32266141). | ||||||||||
