| Gene Description | CD33, CD33 molecule, is a cell adhesion molecule that plays a role in myeloid lineage and may inhibit immune cell activation (PMID: 24991573, PMID: 25320078). Altered expression of Cd33 has been observe in acute myeloid leukemia (PMID: 32150609) and may be a marker for worse prognosis in multiple myeloma (PMID: 24991573), and Cd33 is often expressed on the surface of leukemic stem cells (PMID: 32269970). | ||||||||||
