| Gene Description | CD63, CD63 molecule, encodes a cell surface-associated membrane protein of the tetraspanin family that plays a role in endosomal sorting and cellular protein trafficking, thereby interacting with several different proteins involved in signaling that regulates growth, differentiation, and integrin-dependent cell migration (PMID: 18930046, PMID: 11739647). Increased expression of CD63 has been observed in early stage esophageal cancer (PMID: 28599425), and a fusion with BCAR4 has been identified in lung adenocarcinoma (PMID: 33204025). | ||||||||||
