| Gene Description | CDK1, cyclin dependent kinase 1, encodes for a protein necessary to carry out the process of cell division, specifically, driving the cells through the G2 phase and mitosis (PMID: 22355113). Overexpression of CDK1 has been associated with a poor prognosis in epithelial ovarian cancer (PMID: 25910705) while CDK1 loss has been linked to a poor prognosis and chemotherapeutic resistance in lung cancer (PMID: 21887332). | ||||||||||
