| Gene Description | MED12, mediator complex subunit 12, is a subunit of Mediator, a complex involved in regulating expression of most RNA polymerase II transcripts (PMID: 24123922), and also regulates CDK8 activity (PMID: 31988137), Gli3-dependent Sonic hedgehog signaling, and epigenetic silencing of genes (PMID: 24123922). Mutations in Med12 have been identified in several cancers (PMID: 24123922, PMID: 31869450), including prostate cancer (PMID: 22610119), uterine leiomyoma (PMID: 32094355), and fibroepithelial tumors (PMID: 31662438). | ||||||||||
