Gene Variant Descriptions RUNX1 I315Hfs*258 indicates a shift in the reading frame starting at amino acid 315 and terminating 258 residues downstream causing a premature truncation of the functional protein and extension of 453aa Runx1 protein by 120 amino acids (UniProt.org). I315Hfs*258 has not been characterized, however, due to the effects of frameshifts downstream of I315 (PMID: 25840971), I315Hfs*258 is predicted to result in a loss of Runx1 protein function.
