Gene Variant Descriptions ALK L1256F lies within the protein kinase domain of the Alk protein (UniProt.org). L1256F demonstrates transforming and tumorigenic activity and confers drug resistance in the context of ALK fusions (PMID: 29650534, PMID: 30662002), but has not been individually characterized and therefore, its effect on Alk protein function is unknown (PubMed, Dec 2023).
